About me
I started out as a healthcare and life sciences executive who likes to think outside the norms to enable businesses and thinkers innovate and aspire together.
Now, I lead partnerships in healthcare, healthcare and biomedical engineering and technologies, digital health, medtech, biotech, life sciences, agro and one health, veterinary medicine, AI ML, quantum, space, defense and agnostic sectors.
I am excited to work in organizations willing to challenge mainstream pathways, to spearhead technologies and projects, for better, faster and reliable real world outcomes.

What I do best
Innovation and Technology: Everyday, I work with brilliant minds in sectors of innovation, battling everyday challenges in healthcare and digital health, life sciences, quantum technology, AI ML, agricultural and veterinary health, one health, water resources, urban planning, space and defence technologies and agnostic sectors. I then come up with ways these incredible technologies can be applied in more than one sector, benefiting communities, regions and populations.

Building Bridges: Business development and management of domestic and international partners, leadership, initiating matrix projects amongst industry, scientists, clinicians; resulting in collaborative cascades, revenue streams, quicker progress, shorter project timelines, patents, publications and outcome measures.

Making things happen, and my two cents: I've established and managed collaborations, MOUs, and agreements with top therapeutics, medical devices, digital health, and funding partners including government, philanthropy and VCs primarily in the North American market, but also globally. Examples include Sanofi, Boehringer Ingelheim, Providence Therapeutics, Medtronic, J Labs and more.
I can talk science and business: With a graduate degree in life sciences, and a business certificate degree in management and entrepreneurship, I can reversibly translate scientific terminology and business linguistics. Some of the sectors I have experience in, include biotechnology and biomedical engineering, digital health, nano therapeutics, robotics, invasive and non-invasive medical devices, one health, water engineering, agricultural science, veterinary medicine, quantum technologies, and space & defence technologies.
My background
Growing up, I was lucky, I knew what I wanted (for the most part at least). I liked improving lives - it was as simple as that. Coming from a family of businessmen and businesswomen, I had a natural acumen to establishing connections, managing people, projects, negotiations, timelines and deliverables. I earned graduate degrees in Bioengineering and Life Science Entrepreneurship from great schools in Houston, Texas, USA. There, it all began.

I almost immediately started managing research and life science centres, adding remarkable progress, efficient monetary management, for various projects. I had my basics ironed out.

Being able to talk science and business was a skill invaluable when I set up the Houston Methodist Center for Neuroregeneration. We grew rapidly, now with multiple research groups, comprising the Neurological Institute, Cerebrovascular Center, amongst others. From there, I moved to Canada, establishing collaborative partnerships and strategies for the Vacouver Coastal Health System, and then at the University of Calgary working with start-ups, SMEs and MNEs in enabling and improving better solutions for tangible real world outcomes.

While I started with healthcare and life sciences; I now lead partnerships in healthcare, healthcare and biomedical engineering and technologies, digital health, medtech, biotech, life sciences, agro and one health, veterinary medicine, AI ML, quantum, space, defense and agnostic sectors.

My accomplishments
Established and managed multiple local and global collaborations, projects and scientific initiatives in multiple sectors
Established projects with provincial and federal governments, trade commissions, consulate offices, and international governments
Created partnerships which have transformed in multi million dollar projects and generated multiple IPs and patents
Market expansions in various sectors of health and life sciences - human health, animal health, digital health platforms, AI in healthcare,
cancer, neurosciences, mental health, biomedical engineering, and indigenous health to mention a few
Advisory panel to various health and life sciences sector spaces to influence growth, investments and developments

I like to give back
There is something gratifying in giving back to society that has given you so much,
taught you even more and accepted you in your new home

Carpentry
I learnt carpentry as an extra-curricular activity in middle school. I preferred a hammer and nails
to guitars and pianos.

I built my 8.5ft live edge dining table, with a full grain leather inlay and cast iron legs. A moment of personal pride.
The Outdoors
" In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks."
- John Muir

I took this picture at the Grand Canyon a few years ago. I encourage everyone to go visit. Stand, stare and take it all in - 3 minutes, no photos, no talking, no walking. Just breathe.
The Arts
I absolutely adore art - painting, musicals, theatre, symphonies and other forms.

I let go of a dream to be a part time artist to focus on life sciences. Maybe when I retire, I'll pick up a paintbrush again. Afterall, life can be the biggest art form of all.
Cooking
I enjoy a delicious fare made with the freshest local produce. From digesting fire roasted scorpions at hawker stalls in Singapore to the Chef's table at a Michelin star restaurant, I've done it all.

I'm also a pro home cook, ask me nicely and maybe I'll make you something mouth watering.
Photography
Something that I have lately gotten into is photography. Capturing the essence of a moment, preserving it forever has its pleasures.

Big Bend National Park, Texas is a national dark sky zone, take a camera, you won't regret it. It was a perfect, cloud free no moon night, backcountry camping.
